For those of you not familiar with philosophy and the Allegory of the Cave in particular, suffice it to say that it's a story about a bunch of people chained in a cave watching shadows flickering on the wall, thinking that the shadows were reality instead of what was casting them. I have no great love for the allegory, but I like the imagery of shadows and light on the wall of a cave, and it seemed a good title for this flame. Fun fact: The two ends of this image match up.
